High Quality Durli Leather: Discover Our Unique Products

Leather is one of the oldest materials used in the manufacture of high-quality products. Above all, its durability, aesthetics and versatility make it the ideal choice for various sectors, such as footwear, furniture and automotive. That's why our portfolio includes unique Durli high-quality leather products.

We also offer raw materials that are synonymous with resistance, economy and sustainability. One of our pillars is our constant commitment to excellence and innovation, ensuring that our high-quality leathers meet the demands of discerning customers.

In the meantime, we rely on hides of various origins that are selected according to the analysis of the quality and yield of the leather. At the plants in Brazil, 80% of the leather produced comes from Zebu breeds and 20% from European breeds such as Angus, Hereford and their genetic crossbreeding with Zebu breeds such as Braford and Brangus. At the plants in Mexico and Paraguay, we produce American, Mexican, German, Uruguayan and Paraguayan hides.

Rigorous selection of raw materials

At Durli, we value the careful selection of raw materials, as this is the basis for guaranteeing the high quality of our leathers.

The raw materials we use undergo a careful analysis, where they are evaluated according to the quality class and the yield of the leather.

We only select materials that meet our strict quality and performance targets. This ensures that every leather produced in our facilities meets the highest market standards.

Brazilian leather with termite mounds

In Brazil, 80% of the leather we produce comes from Zebu cattle with termites. Zebu breeds, such as Nelore and Brahman, which are predominantly raised in the country's tropical and subtropical climate, have this typical characteristic.

The termite is a muscular structure and the presence of this element is a natural adaptation that favors resistance to heat. It also makes these breeds extremely resistant to adverse weather conditions.

The high-quality leather derived from these breeds is recognized for its durability and resistance, making it an excellent choice for many sectors.

Termite-free Brazilian leather

In the south of Brazil, where the climate is colder and the grazing conditions are different, we find European breeds such as Angus and Hereford. The high-quality leathers from these breeds are naturally finer and less marked, which makes them ideal for products that require a more delicate finish.

In recent years, Brazilian farmers have been investing in genetic improvement by cross-breeding cattle. The combination of European and Zebu breeds provides a synergy between their resistance and the homogeneous surface with finer pores of termite-free leather. Two notable examples of this process are:

Braford (Brahman + Hereford): this crossbreed produces leather with a fine pore and without the termite opening. This is an excellent option for those looking for high quality, resistant leather.

The cross between Brahman and Hereford then results in the Braford, a breed especially valued for its resistance to heat and parasites, inherited from the Brahman, and for the high quality of its meat and leather, influenced by the Hereford.

Braford leather has fine, uniform pores and a high density, which guarantees greater resistance and durability.

In addition, this breed does not have the termite typical of Brahman, which results in a more homogeneous and easier-to-work-with surface, ideal for applications in sophisticated and demanding leather products.

Its durability makes Braford leather an excellent choice for the manufacture of automotive coatings and fashion items, where a balance between resistance and high-quality finish is expected.

Brangus (Brahman + Angus): the leather resulting from this cross has fine pores and a smooth texture, as well as being termite-free. This type of leather is highly prized by the footwear and artifact industries thanks to its softness and ability to maintain a uniform appearance.

The cross between Brahman and Angus, which gives rise to Brangus, is known for combining the robustness of Brahman with the premium quality of Angus meat and leather. Brangus leather is highly prized for its soft texture and fine pores, which provides a smooth and attractive surface for industries such as footwear and luxury goods, which demand high-quality leather.

Like the Braford, the Brangus is also termite-free, which makes it easier to handle in various industrial processes. Brangus leather stands out for its softness to the touch and ability to maintain a uniform appearance, ideal attributes for products that require an impeccable visual finish.
